Mitacare Mortuary Transfers

Mitacare Mortuary Transfers is a division of Mitacare Group 3FM Pty Ltd and is located in the Baulkham Hills / Castle Hills area in the north-west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. We provide mortuary ambulance services for the conveyance of deceased persons for and in behalf of:

        • Funeral Directors (city, local, country, intra & inter state), and
        • Families in the Community

Mortuary Facilities: Mitacare Mortuary Transfers’ mortuary and refridgerated holding facility is located at:

          50/5 Inglewood Place, Norwest Business Park,

          Baulkham Hills, NSW 2153, AUSTRALIA.

We can take a deceased into care and/or hold overnight and/or transfer directly to your Funeral Home whichever you prefer.

Mortuary Ambulances: All Mitacare Mortuary Ambulances are new Toyota Hiace Long Wheel Base Vehicles fully refridgerated and are equipped with (3) M11 Ferno stretchers and (1) 1M Ambulance stretcher in each vehicle. They are also equipped with all the necessary safety and protection equipment (including breathing apparatus) required for any situation the two man crew may be required to face.

Ambulance Staff: Presentation of vehicles and staff, coupled with quality representation and Customer Service is a High Priority for Mitacare Mortuary Transfers. To ensure that that is maintained all staff are professionally trained in all facets of mortuary transfer work and presentation. Training and debriefing is carried out and maintained on a regular basis to ensure the well being of each member of our staff.

Dress Standards: All Ambulance staff are well groomed and wear a distinctive Mitacare Mortuary Transfers uniform which consists of:

        • black trousers
        • white long sleeved shirt
        • burgundy/white pinned stripped tie
        • burgundy vest
        • black lace up shoes

What We Do For The Funeral Director...Upon receipt of a call for assistance,including details of the deceased and his/her location, a Mortuary Ambulance is despatched immediately to the residence, hospital, nursing home, coroner, police contract area (local, Inter/intra state) to effect the transfer to the designated destination.

In addition, we ensure that the appropriate documentation accompanies the deceased, such as

  • the Medical Certificate and/or Coroner’s Order for Burial, or
  • Cremation Certificate and/or Coroner’s Permit for Cremation 
  • other documentation as specified or required

Where payment is required for Cremation Certificates at a Hospital, Mitacare Mortuary Transfers will make the necessary payments and include the cost in the Invoice to the Client Funeral Director.

Transfer Prices: With any service rendered unfortuantely it comes at a price, Mitacare Mortuary Transfers are no different. However, our Transfer Prices are probably the most competitive in market place.
